Your adventure begins at 8:30 AM with a transfer from your hotel to the Port of Manaus. From there, you'll board a speedboat and start the tour with the phenomenal Meeting of the Waters, where the Rio Negro and Rio Solimões meet. Afterward, we'll head to the Careiro port, where the journey continues by van and then by boat to our lodge, arriving around 11:30 AM.
Lunch will be served at 12:30 PM. At 2:30 PM, embark on an exciting canoe trip where you'll fish for piranhas, observe playful river dolphins, and engage in some exceptional birdwatching as the sun sets over the horizon. The day concludes with a hearty dinner at 7:30 PM, followed by an adventurous caiman spotting excursion, where you'll use flashlights to capture the shimmering eyes of these nocturnal reptiles.
We will start the day early at 5:00 AM with a serene canoe ride to witness the Amazon waking up and enjoying a breathtaking sunrise. After returning to the lodge for breakfast, gear up for a jungle hike where our knowledgeable guide will lead you through the dense foliage. Learn about medicinal plants, various tree species, and the diverse wildlife, including the chance to see monkeys and other fascinating creatures of the Amazon.
You'll return to the lodge around 11:30 AM for a well-deserved break. At 2:30 PM, the adventure continues as you head out to camp in the jungle. Experience the thrill of setting up camp and sleeping in hammocks with mosquito nets under a covered shelter. As night falls, listen to the fascinating shift in the jungle's soundscape, transitioning from the vibrant day noises to the mystical nocturnal symphony.
After enjoying breakfast in the wild, we will visit a traditional Caboclos' house. Here, you will learn about the unique customs and daily habits of these native inhabitants, including the fascinating process of making manioc flour.
We'll return to the lodge around 11:30 AM for lunch. At 1:30 PM, we’ll begin our journey back to Manaus, with an estimated arrival time of 4:00 PM, concluding your unforgettable Amazon adventure.
You should pack lightweight, breathable clothing suitable for the humid climate, long-sleeved shirts and pants for protection against insects, comfortable hiking boots, a waterproof jacket, a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, insect repellent with DEET, a reusable water bottle, a flashlight or headlamp with extra batteries, and personal medications. Don’t forget your camera or smartphone for capturing memories.
